Coronavirus

In order not to catch the virus:

-stay away from the crowd.

-wear mask at public places

-do not touch your face with your hand, especially after touching the surface shared with others.

-wash hands after you touch the surface shared with others, or you touch your face.

-prepare hand sanitiser on your desk/seat etc. use it every time you come back.

In order not to spread the virus:

Above list, plus:

-do NOT cough/sneeze on your hands, but cover with your arm etc.

PLEASE NOTE:

A person may already have virus even though they don’t have symptoms. If they sneeze (by inhaling pepper etc), they would spread the virus.

Hand wash

Hand washing really works, according to people in Taiwan that struggled with SARS and that has been doing really well this time. Below table is modified version from the original in Taiwan.

Mask

Many people say, mask can let virus go through, because virus is much smaller than the structure of masks' material. But, a mask shuts at least direct droplets from reaching our face/mouth/nose.

Specially designed mask will work best. But in case of no stock on the market, a scarf will do similar job. Also, it is relatively easy to sew a mask out of a piece of fabric and elastic tape.

Masks are also efficient for keeping our throat moist, with is important for shutting virus out.

Sanitiser

Hand sanitiser is short stocked on the market at the moment.

I wonder if disinfectant (laundry section at supermarket have these products) would work.

Please don't forget to dilute the disinfectant according to the instruction on the package. It is rather toxic if not diluted enough. I'd avoid using spray method, as this will irritate our throat and give virus more chances to get inside our body system. Please also note, spray will affect other people's throat in the same room.

How about mixing with moisturiser? I have been testing this out for a week. So far, no problem, even on me with very dry/sensitive skin.

Why these tips?

The main contamination route is said to be droplets when carriers sneeze/cough. Virus dies relatively soon after they are thrown out of the human body. But sometimes, it transfers to another person’s hand etc, and keep alive. It can happen on door knobs etc (because virus keep alive even only for a short time) (this new virus is said to survive better than other virus, after going outside of human body). This is why we should try NOT TO TOUCH OUR FACE, especially mouth and nose.

Now, please read above tips list again. Do they make better sense?

Maintain good immune system

-sleep well

-eat well, especially vitamin C

-exercise well

-supplements

How to sleep well

-lettuce, camomile tea, warm milk etc have soporific effect

-keep dark after sunset (for encouraging melatonin secretion), strong light in the morning

-foot bath before going to bed (warm water in a bucket)

-supplement for sleep (melatonin etc)

20 sec relaxation

Tense up your whole body for 5 sec. Then fully release till you feel fully released (about 15sec or more). Repeat 3 times if time allows.

(Tense up your body- eye, mouth, shoulder, arm, fist, chest, stomach, bottom, legs, feet.. Are they all tense up?)

You will feel the gravity and find yourself sinking deep down onto your bed.

These above are all, what the writer chose from various information on public and what the writer found relatively realistic and have good effects.
