Adam Smith wrote “The Theory of Moral Sentiments” before "(An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of) the Wealth of Nations”. My understanding of his point is, people are kind in nature, but they can be different depending on the situation especially in a hard/sad situation. Strong people are those who stays on their natural kindness even in such a negative situation.
I agree. Why do we want to be mean to others? Someone may have been mean to us before, there may be unreasonable pressures to ourselves from others. These negative experiences beat our kind nature and make us different. If we can be really honest to what we want, then that honesty should lead to better society, right? Is there really a single person who honestly love to see others feeling sad? I don’t think so.
Some people took advantage of Adam's writing, and “an invisible hand" in his "The Wealth of Nations“ was spread in a completely different meaning, instead of what Adam meant. The result is, current capitalism.
My understanding of invisible hand is, “If everyone pursues what they really want, society will be better place.”
When we say “I want it”, there are 2 types. Do we really want it? Or do we only have an impression that we want it, just because we are biased with the situations? The latter case leads to thefts and exploitation. How can we create a society where everyone can be really honest with what we want, without being negatively affected by the situations?

賛成です。なんで他人に意地悪したくなるのか？ 意地悪されたから、とか、他からのプレッシャーがあるとか、なにか、自分を曲げる成分がある。自分が正しいと思うことを正直にできる環境であれば、その「正直」は社会の向上につながるような内容になるはずだと思う。他の人が悲しんでいるのを見て嬉しく思う人って、ほんとにいるんだろうか？
「国富論」のなかでの「神の見えざる手」が、アダムさんの考えている意味ではなく、違う意味で捉えられ、勝手に利用されて、今の資本主義が出来上がってしまった。
「みんなが自分が欲しいものを追求すれば、社会は潤う」。「欲しい」というのは、本当に欲しい場合と、曲がった状況で欲しいような気がしている場合とがある。後者の場合が、泥棒とか搾取とかにつながる。みんなが曲がらずに自分に正直になれる社会は、どうやったら作れるんだろう？
