Big men has huge strength. However, without good control their strength can make accidents, breakage, etc. Here below are the tips to avoid these unwanted results.
First of all, Please pump up the wheels every time before he start using it.
It will make pedalling and steering lighter. A big man weighs a lot more than others and tend to be affected much more from weak tyre pressure.

For smooth pedalling without jerking
Warming up, without steering.
Without any steering, do below 1, 2, and 3 as warming up.
Make sure to use UPPER BODY, and BOTTOM CHEEKS (refer these videos 1, 2, 3 . Another article also to come). Make sure the rhythm is constant, pedalling and singing match.
1)
Sing and rock forward-backward.
Either swing the upper body / twist the upper body / lift up the R or L bottom cheek alternatively.
Repeat until THE-BIG-MAN can successfully do 1x whole “que sera sera”)
2)
Sing and rock forward-backward like this video .
Repeat until THE-BIG-MAN can successfully do 1x whole “que sera sera”)
3)
Sing and go forward for 123, (4=stop) backward for 123 (4=stop).
Repeat until THE-BIG-MAN can successfully do 1x whole “que sera sera”)
Steering:
Make sure NOT to grab the steering handle with whole fist. Use ONLY 2 FINGERS to hold.(Otherwise, too much force will be on the handle and steering will be out of control)
2 fingers:
-pointing and middle or
-thumb and pointing etc
(Other ideas for how to grab the handle grip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSrjm9ydJI8&list=PLgrVog6AcE8snqzCLhmmmIUNSY_Ubt5Om&index=1)
Other tips.
-for more stable pedalling, grab the side of the seat with the non-steering hand.
-longer screws and more spacer will make the steering handle further away from the body and will not touch the thigh when he pedals.
-touching his shoulder alternatively from behind may help him using his whole body instead of just legs
-try encouraging him to bend his ankles and keep lifting the feet up, which will make the pedalling movement smoother without jerking movement. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEzMHO1463c&list=PLgrVog6AcE8snqzCLhmmmIUNSY_Ubt5Om&index=7)

How the gear breaks
Sometimes pedalling slips and does not engage the wheel. Every time this happens, the cog wheels inside the gear wears a little by little, and eventually it will completely stop engaging.
This slipping happens when
pedalling up the slope, on a soft surface (grass etc). This happens because, more strength is needed for pedalling, WITH GOOD CONTROL (angle, speed, balance of R and L etc). The more strength is needed, the BETTER CONTROL will be needed.
In order to avoid breakage,
-immediately stop/slow down when slipping happens.
-have someone with the rider when the rider goes onto soft surface/slope for the first time.
If you really want to pedal on steep slope
-first, try keeping the position withOUT using the brake system. You will have to pretend pedalling forward, but with the exactly right amount of strength.
-From there, try to pedal forward ONLY 1cm. You will need to be extremely careful.
